There’s not too much to update. Life has been going well. Work has been going better this week, so that makes me happy. Yesterday, everyone up front had the afternoon off, so it was just me and Sheri, the office manager. With the way last Friday had gone, I was a little nervous. Neddlessly, as it turned out. The day was really slow and there were several no-shows that afternoon. So, God answered my prayers and let the day be slow and simple. I got caught up on all of my work, too, so that was an added bonus.
Other than that, life is going well. We’re still working on getting our house organized, which I hear is typical. I thought I’d have our house all done in the month following getting our stuff, but it’s not working out that way. We’ve had our stuff a little over a month and the front of the house is pretty well organized. It’s just the spare room where we keep all of the stuff we don’t know what to do with. I worked on it for a little while today, but I don’t want to spend the whole day doing that. I got quite a bit done, so I feel good about it.
I don’t know what else to write. Oh! Caleb got a truck. lol. Last Saturday we bought a truck from Dawn’s father-in-law. It’s a 1986 Chevy C20. Caleb loves it. He’s already taken the dash apart to fix some stuff and he took the driver door apart to fix the automatic lock. His next project on it is to fix the radio or install a new one. The one that’s in there is the original tape deck radio and it doesn’t work. Caleb says it’s because the antenna wires are broken, so he’ll either get something to fix those or go get another one. He’s also looking into a way to get an auxillary cable plugged in somewhere so he can listen to his Zune. He likes listening to books on tape and his 25 minute drive to work every day is a perfect time for him to do that.
Other than that, there’s not a lot going on. We both go to work in the morning and come home in the afternoon. Then we either play on our computers or watch something on tv. Pretty boring, but we like it.
Oh, we found out I have some wierd medical thing going on. As if I don’t already have enough. I get dizzy and lightheaded a lot, so we had some tests done. Evidently, when a person goes from sitting down to standing up, their heart rate is supposed to go up 20 points. Mine went down 10. Not good. The doctor called it some big technical word, but I can’t remember what she said. Neither can Caleb. So, at least now I know that I am strange. Well, stranger. lol. We also found out that I have a muscle mass imbalance, so that is why no matter what I do or how hard I work out, I cannot get any upper body strength. We’re working on that now, so hopefully by the time I leave Oklahoma I will have this thing fixed. Or at least on the way to being fixed. It’s related to my scoliosis, so it’s never entirely going to go away. Kinda sucks, but oh well. God gave me something to deal with for the rest of my life, so I’m going to deal with it. I’m doing tons better than I was a few years ago, so it’s not so bad. I am nervous, though, about having kids. In my x-rays, my hips are twisted sideways a little and angled forward instead of upward. That could cause some complications with pregnancies. It’ll take a while, but Dr G said the twist and the angle can be reversed somewhat. Maybe not all the way, but at least partway. I just have to keep doing my exercises. Wish me luck. I want to have kids.
I just asked Caleb if there was anything else he wanted me to put on here. He would like me to announce that we have a kitty and a bird and a cute wifey. Goofball. lol. I have a sweet husband.
