Okay, so a few months ago I decided to take part in this book challenge thing. I’ve been doing okay with it. By the time I get home from work, though, I’m too tired to use my brain, much less read anything. So, I haven’t read too much. BUT, I have listened to MANY audiobooks. Does that count? lol. Sadly, though, only one has been from my challenge list. I’m going to look the rest of them up, though, and see if I can listen to them. That will sure speed things up. lol.
Anyways, here is my update with a refresher of the rules.
1. Pick 9 categories
2. Read 9 books in each of those categories
3. Complete them in 2009.
4. To make it easier —
The 888 challenge allowed an overlap of 8 books which would fit into more than one category. So for this challenge, you could overlap 9 books, but that’s up to you.
5. To make it harder —
Complete all your books by 9/9/09.
I have chosen my categories and they are…
New-to-me Authors:
Breaking Dawn by Stephanie Meyer (done)
History:
Genghis Khan and the Making of the Modern World by Jack Weatherford
Classics:
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austin (done)
Self-Help:
Strangling Your Husband is Not An Option by Merrilee Browne Boyack
Biographical:
Jane Austen and Her Times by G.E. Mitton
Religious:
With Full Purpose of Heart by Dallin H. Oaks
Beginning Of A Series:
The Looking Glass Wars by Frank Beddor
Fantasy:
Brisingr by Christopher Paolini
One Of My Favorites:

See? I haven’t been doing very well. I need to step up on this. It’s getting closer and closer to September. How scary is that?
