Yay! I just finished my mid-term! And it’s 1:16am. lol. I have a headache and my eyes hurt. I seriously thought I’d be able to take the mid-term as soon as my teacher sent me the password for it. I totally didn’t realize that I had to wait for the system to unlock the exam before I could enter the password. So, I couldn’t take the exam until 10pm. Why, then, do you ask, am I just finishing it at 1am? Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell, in being so focused on finding a proctor and getting all studied up for my mid-term, I totally neglected doing my other schoolwork. I was trying to take a nap this evening when the thought popped into my head that I have more classes than just my English class. So, I jumped out of bed and found FOUR additional pieces of homework that needed to be turned in. *sigh* I decided to do those first because they all had to be done before midnight and I’ve still got until tomorrow afternoon to have the mid-term finished.
The thing that sucked about those assignments was that they weren’t super quick and easy assignments. One was a 75-question quiz that I hadn’t done the reading for yet, so I had to read through that, another was an essay explaining my interpretation of a phrase along with commenting on three other students’ postings and another was to research three of five questions and explain them in detail. The only easy one was a 10-question quiz. True to form, I got 100% on the 75-question quiz and missed one question on the 10-question quiz. I’ve gotten 100% on all my business class quizzes, which is nice. Not quite so for my English class. Out of the 5 quizzes I’ve done for that class, I’ve gotten 9/10 on four and 10/10 on one.
Oh! That brings me to a thought I had earlier. Why on earth is my English class having a quiz the same day as the mid-term?! What is up with that?! You’d think the mid-term was enough and we’d have the quiz next week. Oh well. At least it was an easy one.
And at least I’m done and can go to bed now. We leave for Malacca at 7:30 tomorrow morning and I offered to make breakfast for the guy we are driving with, so I have to be up and ready before 6:30 so I can cook pancakes (gluten-free) and eggs. I still have to prepare my lesson for Sunday, too, but I plan on doing that in the car. I’ll take the manual and a notebook and my nook so I can go through and come up with a lesson outline. We shouldn’t be home too late, so if I need to research additional subject matter, I can do that when we get home. I hope. Cross your fingers for me.
