Well, off we go on another adventure. And I’m happy to say I made it to the train with ten minutes to spare, thank you very much. 🙂
Troy was complaining recently that he’s tired of traveling and always being gone. We’re both a bit over the whole ‘living out of a suitcase’ thing. But, it’s nice to be able to complain about traveling a lot. Lol.
This time we’re off to Bali. I’m pretty excited about it. We’ve been to Indonesia before, but Bali sounds so much more exotic than Yogyakarta. Lol.
On this trip we plan to go snorkeling, check out some temples, see some ethnic dancing, watch some monkeys (from a safe distance), get a m assage and hopefully make it to the UNESCO site.
The Subak System in Bali is supposed to be really neat. From what we’ve read it is a region of terrace paddy fields around temples in the mountains. I’m super excited to see that. The pictures are just gorgeous.
We’ve seen several UNESCO World Heritage Sites that are ruins, but only one that is picturesque so far. That one was Halong Bay in Vietnam. Halong Bay was pretty, but this one looks exponentially more so. I hope to be able to see more like this someday.
Troy told me when we moved out here that he wants to try to hit one UNESCO site in every place we visit. I started checking out what all UNESCO sites they have around the world and now I have a list I want to see, too. So, I hope we’ll be able to get to this one. It’s a bit of a drive from our hotel in Ubud, so it may not work out. But we’re going to try.
Well, I’m almost with the boy, so I’m going to wrap this up. See you all next week!
