Blue Pool on McKenzie River

The day after Christmas we decided to go for a hike. While we were on that hike, a girl saw us taking pictures and told us about this really pretty pool down the river a ways. So, we hurried back down the trail and drove down the river in hopes of getting to the pool before the sun went below the treeline. Unfortunately, we didn’t get there before the sun had gotten too low, but we still finished the hike and found the pool. It really was beautiful, even in the shade. Blue Pool, Tamolitch PoolThe hike was fairly easy and took about an hour. Most of the hike was through the woods, but part of it angled over to where we could see the river at times.

And then, at last, we reached the pool. The sun was below the trees, but it still looked beautiful.

Pitch me a tent, and I might just move in! That is a really neat feature to have on your cell so you could capture that moment. That looks like an amazing hike!

I’m glad it was short, too! We’d been hiking for several hours already and were both pretty tired by the time we got to the parking area. If it hadn’t been as easy of a hike as it was, we may have turned back before getting there. lol.

What a gorgeous place, that pool really is blue, it’s like the blue lagoon! I love going on walks in woodland like this with my family.

They do! I looked up photos to see what it looks like from the other side of the lake and there are a bunch of photos of people jumping off the rocks into the water. I told my boyfriend that we’re camping there this summer so we can swim there, too.

It just hit in the 30s on Monday, so I think I’m done hiking for a while. lol. The cold is best enjoyed from under a blanket on the couch in front of a fire.

I haven’t gone to hiking for a long time! I’m glad the girl told you about the beautiful pool, because it looks like a little fairy pool with all that amazing blue water. Great pictures!

The setting on my phone is ‘animated photo’. I just take the picture and then swipe over the areas I want animated and then save it. I absolutely love it!

I agree! The blue of that water was so amazingly beautiful. I can’t wait to see what it looks like when the sun is overhead. You know, I was a little skeptical about the panoramic at first. It looked a little wonky on my phone, but it looks great on the computer, so I’m really glad I didn’t delete it!
