Gosh. I can’t believe it’s been almost two months since I last wrote one of these. Life got crazy with school for a while. But, the semester ended on a high note. I had 5 A’s and 1 A-. I also earned an Associates with Honors, so that’s not too shabby.
Since school got out I’ve been kinda taking it easy. Sort of. For a week I just kinda dropped off the planet and stayed away from the computer. I read, spent some time outside, exercised a lot and cleaned. A lot. I’d been so slammed with school and trying to blog (cuz it was now a college class) that cleaning got a little left behind. The house was tidy, but it had been a few weeks since I’d done a decent cleaning.
But, my house is thoroughly scrubbed now, everything is back in order and life is good. I’ve been being pretty consistent with my history blog (Tuesdays and Fridays) and now I’m going to work on getting consistent with this one. I’m going to do a whole revamp and reorganize everything. I’d planned on doing that right after school ended, but I’ve just been too “don’t want to do anything massive” for the past few weeks. But now I feel up to it.
Other than redesigning my blog, I’m also getting back into running. There’s a Color Vibe run here in October and I signed up for that. I had planned on running the whole thing, but my friend added her kid to our team, so it looks like we’re going to be walking a lot of it. Kinda disappointing, but oh well. It’s about having fun. I’ll find another run at the end of the year to do by myself so I don’t have to worry about that again.
Wednesday is going to be my workout report day, so I’ll write about what I’m doing to train myself then.
This past weekend we did a super long hike that was a lot of fun. It was supposed to be 6.1 miles, but it ended up being quite a bit longer. The story on that will be up on Tuesday!
Hopefully things will go as planned cuz there’s also another Relief Society activity this Tuesday, so tomorrow and Tuesday could be a little nutty with the set-up and last-minute prep. I’m in charge of the desserts for the dessert auction (have to make 10 of them), but as long as my friend doesn’t bail on me, it should go smoothly.
Well, that’s it for today! Hope everyone has had a fantastic weekend!
How I did on my last goals
- Eat healthy – I’ve been eating fairly healthily since my last post. I have a spinach salad with lunch and have been having protein drinks or green smoothies for breakfast as well as snacks.
- Don’t be late for the field trip – I was not late for the field trip! I was actually a little early and then the bus was late, so we had to wait quite a while before we were able to leave.
- Have fun – I had a fantastic time on my trip to Utah in March and on the field trip. I did end up getting bronchitis while on the field trip, but it didn’t start getting bad until the day after I got back to my mom’s house, so I was able to really enjoy the field trip.
- Help my mom with something while I’m there – Is it terrible that I don’t even remember this one? I was there for one day before leaving on the field trip and then sick for the two days I was there after I got back. I’m sure I helped her with something.
- Do well on my math test – You know, math tests were kind of a hit/miss kind of thing with me. I got 90% on one, but the rest I was floating around 76-82%. But, I only missed one on the final exam, so that brought my grade up to 89.7%. My teacher rounded all the grades to the nearest whole number, so I ended up with an A- in the class! Woohoo!
