Feel Good, Will Clean

Well, yesterday didn’t quite go as planned. lol. I got up, made breakfast, ate breakfast with Troy, got his lunch ready, sent him off to work, got in bed for a nap and then threw up. Thank goodness I made it to the bathroom on time. I ended up sleeping until 10-10:30 and felt quite a bit better when I woke up. I’m one of those people where if I don’t eat enough before and after I take my vitamins, I throw up. Gross, I know, but that’s me.

The weird thing is, for the longest time I’ve had yogurt and juice for breakfast and have been fine. Yesterday, I had yogurt and water because I didn’t see the juice. Today, I had yogurt and half a glass of juice and I’m a bit queasy. I’m just not hungry, though. I think I’m getting tired of yogurt. Since Thursday, all I’ve felt like eating is soup and toast. Troy was really great and made me soup and toast whenever I wanted it. He tried to do eggs once, but I don’t like onions and peppers in my eggs and he put those in there, so he got to eat the eggs. He made chicken and rice another time, but the only thing that sounded appealing to me was soup. So, he made me more soup. Speaking of, soup does sound good right now. lol.

After I got up and got moving, I decided I wanted to put my house back together. I got all of my dresses and skirts out of Troy’s closet and put them back in mine along with moving the pants from one side of my closet back to the other. I’d moved all of my clothes out of one half of my closet so Troy’s parents could hang their clothes up and not have to live out of their suitcase. That’s one of the things I hate about travelling: not being able to hang my clothes up. So, I got all the clothes put back where they go and decided to go outside for a bit. I hadn’t been outside since taking Troy’s parents to the airport, so I went out by the pool for about 45 minutes. It was nice. I’ve missed the sun.

The rest of the day was pretty much laundry, dishes and tidying up. Troy did the dishes twice while I was sick, so thankfully their weren’t too many to do. I’m really happy with how the house looks now. My bed has been washed and changed (I slept on the couch while I was sick because I was too sick to wash my bed sheets and didn’t want to ask Troy to do it), Troy’s bed has been washed and changed, most of the laundry has been washed, folded and put away and the kitchen has been scrubbed. I did dishes again this morning and am finishing up the last few loads of laundry.

I actually feel like yesterday was a really productive day. The house is mostly clean and put together nicely. Troy thinks I’m silly for working so hard to get the house put together when we have someone who can help. Several weeks ago, Troy told me to hire a lady to clean the floors, dust and scrub the bathrooms. She’ll comes every two weeks and will be here this afternoon. She said she can do the dishes, clean the kitchen, iron and do laundry, but I’m fine with those. Well, mostly. lol. I like doing my own dishes and cleaning the kitchen myself. Ironing, I’ll let her help with that. lol. We usually take Troy’s clothes downstairs to the laundry service, but he wants to see if Merly (cleaning lady) can do it for less money. It costs RM2 per shirt or pair of pants and Merly charges RM20 per hour, so she would need to do 10 or more pieces in an hour to make it worth it. We have 7 shirts and 5 pairs of pants for her to iron today and if she can get that done in an hour, then we will let her keep doing it. Otherwise, we’ll stick with taking his shirts downstairs and I’ll keep ironing his pants.

*sigh* With all the stuff I did yesterday, I didn’t work on my English essay, which is due today. I have a skeleton essay done, which I did a few weeks ago, but I really just don’t like writing essays. Oh well. I guess I’ll have to get used to it. I have 4 hours to do my essay, so I’d better get started. After I make myself some soup. haha. While Merly is here, I can’t really do anything, so I’ll use that time to post some pictures of the stuff we did while Troy’s parents were here.
